Manufacturers and distributors spend three fruitful days at PALM, exhibiting and showcasing their latest products, but beyond the enticing exhibition stands, are fringe events like the PALM Conference & Seminar Programme that are arguably the most valuable feature of the three days, wherein delegates can connect with some of the industry's biggest influencers and thought leaders.

Each year the PALM expo brings together the largest gathering of Stage Sound, Lighting, Pro AV, Music Industry and Event Tech professionals on its Conference platforms for dissemination of knowledge, information sharing, and networking while also providing unprecedented opportunities for potential collaboration.

The three-day PALM SUMMIT - Conference & Seminar will be held at the Grande C, opposite Hall 1 of the expo. Vital audio support to the three-day programme from Audio Partners HARMAN International (India) Pvt. Ltd. has provided crucial impetus to the staging of the programme.

Synopsis: With the popularity of Dolby Atmos and the recent momentum of Atmos Music and Dolby Atmos for Home Entertainment (HE), more and more content is being mixed and released in Dolby Atmos on the major music streaming platforms and OTT services globally. This has also resulted in a growing demand for mixing facilities, designed to international standards, catering to Dolby Atmos nearfield mixes. Not everybody is fully aware of the requirements for near-field Atmos mix rooms and this session aims to throw some light on the basic design requirements for these rooms. This session will benefit all studio designers, acoustic consultants, and system integrators as well as existing studio owners contemplating upgrading their mix room.

12:15 - 13:00: 'The Process' - Design & Construction of Acoustically Sensitive Spaces. AES INDIA PALM TECHNOLOGY Session

This unshackled meeting of the minds aims to enhance collaboration and understanding between members of both fraternities by finding simple and efficient solutions to:

  • Areas of opportunities for improvement (on both sides) in terms of processes, communication, on-site operations etc)
  • Possibility of collectively working on instituting an efficient process (starting from pre-event communication, all the way upto post-event relationship management) that would act as a template for all stakeholders to follow.
  • Detailing the various areas where both communities can work together to mutually support each others growth and sustenance, and enhance live event experiences for audiences.

16:00 - 17:00: IRAA 2021 Felicitation Ceremony and Open Forum


Synopsis:The Indian Recording Arts Academy Awards (IRAA) 2021 streamed live on 5th Feb 2022. IRAA announced winners across 50 categories at the ceremony, selected from amongst almost 1400 nominations received, for movies, soundtracks and albums released between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2020. The IRAA 2021 winners will be felicitated at this ceremony in the presence of Jury members. This session will also be an open forum for discussing the IRAA categories for 2022 and the evolving Independent Music scene in the country.
