India is rich in various music genres and when Indian music meets international sounds,
the country has the most elegant collaborations.
There is an advent of new technology and it has become easier than ever for musicians
to create interactive concert experiences that can be shared with fans. This has
led to the emergence of a lot many music festivals in the country, of which everyone
wants to be a part of!
Great Indian Rock (GIR), the multi-city rock music festival of India will be held at
MMRDA Grounds BKC, Mumbai from 23-26 February, 2017. It is usually held annually in
the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Shillong with a
cumulative audience of approximately 50,000 people. The first GIR was held at Kolkata
in 1997. It is organized by the media and publishing company Entertainment Media Services
Private Limited, more popularly known as “RSJ”, which is an abbreviation of Rock Street
Journal, being the first rock music publication of India, also owned by the same
company.
Hashtag Holi boasts to be one of the biggest festivals of colours in Bengaluru with an
elaborated bouquet of fun and live music. There will be a power-packed performance by
the duo Ram Sampath and Sona Mohapatra at the event to be held on 11 March, 2017 at
White Orchid, Bengaluru. Gear up for non-stop action at this electric style live in
concert.
The sixth edition of musical event Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival (KRBF) will be held
from April 14-16, 2017 at Baikunth Resorts, Kasuali. The new edition will bring in a
line-up of popular Indian artists from across genres. The three-day event promises a
range of stellar performances from bands like Jonita Gandhi Band, Neeraj Arya Kabir
Café, Nasya, Eka and Kamakshi Khanna Collective.
Unite Music Festival 2017 to be held on 13 March, 2017 in New Delhi; is a unique concept

Bangalore Open Air, one of India’s biggest Heavy Metal Festival is set to take place
on 13 May 2017 at Royal Orchid Resort, Yelahanka. The event was established in 2011
and attracted all kinds of metal music fans, such as fans of black metal, death metal,

Incident 2017 is NITK’s annual cultural event will take place from 1-5 March, 2017 at
National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore. The festival has
