NJ Sound Machine invests in AVID S6L – 24D
NJ Sound Machine has invested in the latest revolution of AVID- the S6L – 24D with 192 Engine boasting 64 on stage inputs
and 32 Outputs, the sale of which was supported by Ansata Computer Systems. The company for a long time was looking for
a change to a bigger board that could quench the thirst of the ever-growing need for Inputs and Outputs and at the
same time be a rider friendly board.
In mid 2017 the core team of NJ’s Sound Machine, comprising of Sancheth Suvarna the Chief Sound Engineer and Sachit
Subramanian who handles the core strategy for the company decided to go for a complete rebranding exercise both
technically and from the brand management perspective. They renamed the company to NJSM and went for a complete
logo revamp. The company also decided to go for technical upgradation and training for their employees so that
the brand could stand to their commitment towards their clients.
“NJSM has been growing their inventory in the right direction and we are very happy that they took a decision on
the S6L at the right time, they have definitely made a decision that would help them in the coming decade” says
Leslie Lean of Ansata.
“As a Strategy Advisor my job is to make sure the company is making the right decisions on the gear and at the
same time there is a plan in place for the corresponding investments to make the money back, both our decisions
on d&b and Avid fits this bill and we are very confident on not just growing the shows but also growing the
quality of the shows that we execute” says Sachit Subramanian.
The Team of NJSM has grown to various arms in the last five years, with Circle Pro Audio being one of the major
home grown Pro Audio developments and manufacturing brand that is widely accepted to 360 Pro Solutions which is
their distribution brand along with Kiran Sales Corporation. “I saw a dream years ago to provide not just audio
but good quality audio to the market, my team today stands by me and helps me achieve that goal” says Nixon
Johnny, director of NJ’s Sound Machine.
NJ’s Sound Machine was a start of an era for Nixon in the live sound rental business. He started his journey in the
year 1998 with a small set of PA system and soon became one of the key players in the Rental business of that time
across the central suburbs of Mumbai. In the year 2008 he purchased his first Line Array System by DB Technology
and since then there has been no looking back.
The first investment by them was to purchase the d&bAudiotechnik V Series. d&b being one of the most recognized and
accepted brand across the globe was a perfect option for the company commercially and technically. This purchase
was supported by Ansata Computer Systems the official distributer for d&b in India.
“NJSM is a growing rental company with a lot of potential, their team has the technical expertise and the vision to
grow; we are very glad to have them as a part of the d&b family” says Leslie Lean of Ansata.
The company has been doing various shows on this system ranging from corporate gigs to live shows and electronic
music events. The company has been trained on using the Arraycalc which is the backbone of the d&bAudiotechnik’s
workflow, they believe that with the use of the workflow makes the whole rigging process not just easy and efficient
but is also the correct way to make the boxes sound good.
“We went a step ahead to use the ArrayProcessing which is a brilliant way to put all your d&b boxes to use in the most
optimum way, the overall audio quality changes and gives an amazing experience to the audience” says SanchethSuvarna
the Chief Sound Engineer of the company. The company has executed various events with this system including the
Kingfisher Indian Derby, Seawoods Grand Central Launchand various other shows for A List Bollywood acts including,
Ankit Tiwari, Papon, Jonita Gandhi and others.
