SHURE AND SUN INFONET CONDUCT “WIRELESS MASTERED”
Riding on the success of the previous seminar series and also part of educational programmes,
Sun Infonet & Shure, MEA conducted back to back seminar series on wireless microphones entitled
“Wireless Mastered” at Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Mumbai in the month of February.
First session of this seminar was held at Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad, consecutively second
session at Hotel Radisson Blu in Ahmedabad and third seminar at Hotel Holiday Inn, Mumbai to
educate the sound engineers and technical crew of rental companies, and freelancer sound engineers
from the respective and surrounding locations.
Andrea Granata, Technical support engineer, MEA led all the sessions and covered topics like importance
of wireless, spectrum legislation, principles of radio transmission, predictable and unpredictable
interferences, in ear monitors, antennas and cables, wireless systems networking and advanced frequency
coordination techniques.
Attendees of all the venues gained in-depth knowledge of the RF technology – the way it works and ways
to operate a secure, reliable system you can depend on, recent changes to spectrum allocation - what
you need to know, how it affects you, and what you can do to mitigate risk. They also got training with
Shure’s Wireless Workbench software and third party analyzers, including how to scan the RF environment,
coordinate frequencies and monitor systems.
Apart from the training, attendees got the chance to get hands on knowledge of industry leading wireless
products, including: Axient, UHF-R, ULX-D, QLX-D and PSM1000.
The seminar was a great platform for sharing best practices and learning, with ongoing interaction between
audio-visuals users and professionals, concluding with fruitful socializing at lunch which left
participants zealous.
