Rajkot Sound and Stage Light Owners Association and Sai Systems enlightens audio fraternity of Saurashtra on the latest in products and technologies
The Rajkot Sound & Stage Light Owners Association along with Sai Systems – a key local dealer
of market leader brands like Pioneer DJ, Yamaha, Wharfedale and more – successfully organized
the 4th edition of its annual pro audio workshop recently, which witnessed a rousing
attendance of some of the most imminent names in the Live & DJ sound segment from across the
region of Saurashtra. The 3 day novel educational workshop took place at the Garden Fairyland
Resort in Rajkot, which was booked in total by the association categorically for the event. The
workshop encompassed a schedule covering live sound essentials + techniques as well as DJ
essentials and techniques that aimed to enlighten the audience on the unabbreviated power and
potential of the various state-of-the-art pro audio and DJ technologies available in India
today.
Catering to an audience profile of over 450 audio professionals comprising live sound engineers,
rental company owners, DJs and traders from across Saurashtra, the workshop delivered insights
and knowledge on the basics of several key technologies in Live & DJ sound. The schedule for
day 1 offered basic and advanced informative sessions on conventional loudspeakers systems,
line arrays, and more. Day 2 provided an in-depth look at digital pro audio technologies like
digital mixing consoles, DSP etc, while Day 3 witnessed an entire day dedicated to DJ
technologies like DJ controllers & mixers, DJ players and more. The sessions dealt with how
these various technologies function, and how one can explore the use of these technologies to
their maximum potential. The speakers and presenters were reputed industry professionals, with
the list also including Mr. Kamlesh Dodiya – President of The Rajkot Sound & Stage Light
Owners Association, who was the key presenter on day 3. Dodiya commented, “As a true
industry association, our endeavor has always been to ensure that we work towards the
progress and well-being of every industry professionals in our region. This workshop
has been one such initiative, where the intention is to further the knowledge and information
value that our industry professionals hold about the various technologies in pro audio
technology for live and DJ sound. We are extremely thankful to all those live sound engineers,
rental company owners, DJs and traders who came from across Saurashtra and graced this event
with their presence, and extended their invaluable support to the workshop and to the
association. We are also thankful to the entire team at Sai Systems, who played a key
role in ensuring that every aspect of the technical setup was absolutely perfect.”
The workshop involved in-depth practical demonstrations and hands-on user time with the
equipment, all of which was provided by Sai Systems.
Products like the digital mixers from industry leaders Yamaha, the range of DJ gear and
equipment from undisputed industry champions Pioneer DJ, and the plethora of loudspeaker
systems from market heavyweights Wharfedale Pro were sourced through Mumbai based Dev
Electronics who are the regional distributors for Yamaha Pro Audio products and Pioneer
DJ products (west), and the PAN India distributors of Wharfedale Pro products.
Mehulbhai of Sai Systems, another key member of The Rajkot Sound & Stage Light Owners
