NJSM deploys d&b Audiotechnik at the 10th Annual Boroplus Gold Awards

NJSM one of the major sound rental company based out of Mumbai recently was hired for executing the Audio section at the 10th Annual Boroplus Gold Awards which is one of the most prestigious television awards and is conceptualized, planned, produced and executed by White Leaf Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. a Mumbai based Event Management and Production company.

NJSM Deployed its much-trusted d&b Audiotechnik rig with the V Series where 5 tops a side was flown using the trusted CM Loadstar motors, along with two tops as center fills, and the powerful B22 Subs. “We had to fly the system at the height of over 50 Feet from the ground; having the right calculations and planning was essential for such a setup and great support from team Whiteleaf on accurate data helped us make this easy” says Sudharshan Shetty the Senior Sound Engineer and System Rigging expert at NJSM.

The whole system was ArrayProcessed on the D80 Amplifiers. They also used the Shure QLX-D Handheld and Bodypack transmitter along with the trusted Circle Pro Audio Antenna Distribution system which was used with the receivers. “Gold Awards was a televised event and hence working on audio with esthetics was an important aspect of the show, we had to make sure we had the right audio dispersion at the same time making sure we are not coming in between the camera frames. The d&b ArrayProcessing and correct data from ArrayCalc helped us achieve this with ease” Says Sachit Subramanian the System Engineer for the show.

NJSM used their brand-new baby the S6L 24D, “It was easier than operating a new cell phone” exclaims Sancheth Suvarna the Mix Engineer for the show. Sancheth had made layouts pertaining to different acts and made snapshots for the wireless mics based on the show flow that the team had provided to him and the ease of use of the S6L and robust engine made the live experience of the event amazing. He also recorded multitrack audio on Protools that now connects directly with the S6L using just a CAT6 cable, The team also provided the recording breakouts for the TV which was powered by the Yamaha QL5 having a completely separate redundancy support.

“We have been working with team NJSM for the last two years and we’ve seen how the team has grown with their execution and quality of work, the specialty of this team is the group of young working professionals who constantly update themselves and hence adding value to every show we do with them” Says Vikaas Kalantri the Managing Director of Whiteleaf Entertainment Media Pvt. Ltd.

“The show is a benchmark for us at NJSM, our vision of providing quality audio and flawless execution is on the right track” smiles Nixon Johny the founder of NJSM.
