Audio-Technica Turns Heads with AT-LP8X Turntable

The latest AT-LP8X turntable by Audio-Technica

AlphaTheta Corporation, the parent company of Pioneer DJ, has unveiled the HDJ-F10, a new professional-grade wireless DJ headphone system. Engineered with AlphaTheta's proprietary SonicLink technology, the HDJ-F10 offers ultra-low latency wireless audio, designed specifically to meet the needs of professional DJs. "SonicLink enables you to move around as you DJ, without the constraints of headphone cables," allowing DJs to engage the crowd more actively by reducing setup limitations and cable management.

The HDJ-F10 headphones feature a newly developed 40 mm driver and a PEEK-PU-PEEK composite film diaphragm, crafted to deliver a high-resolution sound that covers a broad frequency range, making even minor musical details discernible. The headphones' housing incorporates a bass-reflex duct and an air chamber, enhancing both sound insulation and bass reproduction. This design provides punchy, accurate monitoring, allowing DJs to clearly identify kick sounds and other low frequencies, even in loud environments.

For wireless monitoring, AlphaTheta's SonicLink transmits sound with just 9 milliseconds of latency, considerably outperforming conventional Bluetooth codecs, which are often unsuitable for live DJ monitoring due to their inherent delay. SonicLink, when paired with the dedicated HP-TX01 transmitter, can achieve seamless audio streaming directly from the DJ mixer to the HDJ-F10 headphones, enabling "accurate monitoring and mixing without delay."

Built to endure the demands of professional use, the HDJ-F10 headphones meet the US Military Standard MIL-STD-810H for shock resistance. Enhanced with comfortable earpads and durable construction, they promise durability and longevity for DJs on the go.

The HDJ-F10 is also equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and features both Noise Cancelling and Transparency modes. In Noise Cancelling mode, DJs can block out external sounds, making it ideal for focused track preparation even in noisy environments. Meanwhile, Transparency mode allows ambient sounds to pass through, enabling DJs to converse with those nearby while still listening to their music.

Available as a standalone product or in the HDJ-F10-TX bundle, the HDJ-F10 is a significant addition to AlphaTheta's lineup, offering a versatile solution that blends professional-grade performance with wireless freedom for both stage and studio settings.
