Sun Infonet Roadshows take Pro-Av Industry by Storm



Sun Infonet continues to remain dedicated to educating the Pro Audio professional of the country. Adding to their growing number of seminars, Sun Infonet recently concluded a series of highly successful workshops, symposiums, and masterclasses.

Sun Infonet recently hosted a Mixing Masterclass for Allen & Heath led by Dave McDonald, a renowned sound engineer who has worked on world tours with the likes of Adele, Sigor Ros, Florence, and the machine and Frank Ocean. The one-day event took place in Mumbai and Bengaluru and was attended by a mix of 30 to 32 audio/sound engineers, owners of rental companies and audio engineering students.

The workshop was divided into three parts, starting with a pre-show set-up, including how to design the showlife, the challenges that could arise and what made McDonald choose dLive. The second part of the workshop showed how to perform a soundcheck, mixing instruments, configuration, placement of instruments, creating snapshots and grouping of channels. The Masterclass ended with a presentation on tips on how to approach a show and make it successful, including the use of FX engines and changing screens.

Talking about the event, Amar Dhar, a sound engineer from Crescendo in Dimapur, said, “I have learnt a lot from Dave McDonald. This Masterclass was different from the others I have attended in the past. Sun Infonet focused only on the content and not on the mixer. Thank You team Sun Infonet for conducting this ‘Mixing Masterclass’ on Live Sound Mixing”.


Sun Infonet Symposium, Bengaluru

Sun Infonet at The Capitol, in Bengaluru, conducted a symposium displaying the complete range of audio solutions from Shure, Meyer Sound, Allen & Heath, Quest, and Audio Focus. System integrators and Audio Video consultants attended the symposium from Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

The main objective of the symposium was to make the system integrators aware of all the brands and make them understand that the gear can be used in all installed and live applications.


Shure Wireless Masterclass, Mumbai


  • Shure Wireless Masterclass

A Wireless Masterclass by Shure was conducted by Sun Infonet at The Lalit in Mumbai was led by Mr. Andrea Granata, Product Marketing Manager, Shure MEA. The two days Masterclass in Mumbai saw participants who are working as Sound and Audio engineers with bands, singers, Bollywood artists, music composers, and owners of renowned rental companies.

The Wireless Masterclass included comprehensive training regarding RF technology, digital wireless systems, and RF coordination. It provided an ideal opportunity for participants to gain in-depth knowledge of the principles of RF technology, networking and audio transportation, and Wireless Workbench (WWB).

Both events, Sun Infonet Symposium in Bengaluru and Shure Wireless Masterclass in Mumbai saw attendees getting hands-on experience with all the applications and the usage of the gear. The events concluded with a corporate Cocktail Party.


Shure In-Ear Monitor Workshop, Chennai


  • Shure In-Ear Monitor Workshop

A workshop by Shure on the Advantages of In-Ear Monitors was conducted by Sun Infonet at the KM College of Music and Technology, Chennai, which was formed by A R Rahman in 2008.

Barry Kassab from Shure carried out the workshop, which attracted musicians, independent artists, brands, and music students from KM College.

The workshop focused on the advantages if In-Ear Monitors over stage wedges, how to select the right pair of earplugs, the correct way to set up In Earplugs for gigs, and ways to protect your eardrums.

“Hearing when chai met toast on the In-Ear Monitors the way the band hears it during performances is an experience to remember”, commented Rameethha Venkatesh, Bass Guitarist and Student of KM

About the workshop, Jayakaran Samuel, Senior Live Sound Manager, South India, Sun Infonet, said “The workshop has given both seasoned musicians and upcoming talent the right perspective of technology and its benefits”.
