Established in 1981 by the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal with the help of a donation from the Narsee Monjee Educational Trust, the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies or NMIMS as it is fondly known, has grown into a flourishing university that offers a variety of courses and programs; with over 5000 students and more than 430 faculty members representing an eclectic mix of industry and academic experience; national and international experiences. Designed and installed by Hi-Tech Audio Systems – the official distributors of Bose Professional products in India – and supported by Vishal Kotian, the regional Bose Professional representative; the adept audio system at the NMIMS auditorium features the globally acclaimed Bose Room Match line array system at the FOH position; deploying the use of multiple elements of the RM7020 symmetrical 20 degree vertical modules and RM12060 symmetrical 60 degree vertical modules to deliver highly detailed mid to high frequency cover, while the RMS 215 subwoofers faithfully reproduce the ever crucial low frequency impact which brings performances to life. Additionally, multiple units of the RMU 206 loudspeakers from the Room Match Utility range of products in addition to DS16S wall mount loudspeakers from the Freespace range of products, flank the auditorium walls on both sides as the surround sound reinforcement. The superlative aural experience extends into the lobby and common areas as well, thanks to the astute integration of multiple units of the DS16F ceiling mount speakers from the Freespace range of products. The entire loudspeaker setup across the auditorium space and the common areas is powered through multiple units of the sublime PM8500 power amplifiers from the acclaimed PowerMatch series of amplifiers, with the control and processing taking place through the ESP4120 engineered sound processor from the ControlSpace range of products.
