BOSS - GT-1 and dBTechnologies VIO debut in India

The Mumbai-based Rivera Digitec has exclusive distribution rights for a number of leading brands in the Music Industry. The company has announced the Indian debut of products like BOSS - GT-1 and dBTechnologies VIO Line Array and Sub series.

BOSS - GT-1 is ultra-portable and easy to use and delivers pro-level tones everywhere. Driven by the powerful BOSS GT-series engine, it gives the user access to a huge selection of world-class amps and effects for all types of music. A streamlined interface enables quick and intuitive sound creation, while an assignable control switch and expression pedal provide dynamic real-time effects adjustment; and by connecting to BOSS TONE CENTRAL, the user can download free pro patches, editing software, and more. Equally suited for beginners, weekend warriors, and traveling players, the GT-1 packs premium sound in a compact and rugged package.

Quality Sound

As a result of its flagship-class GT sound engine, the GT-1 provides tone quality and sound-shaping ability that exceeds most of the typical compact multi-effects. A history of BOSS processing is at the users’ fingers, from classics such as the OD-1 Overdrive to modern effects powered by innovative MDP technology. There’s a huge selection of COSM amp tones on tap too, including vintage legends and BOSS original amps optimized for ideal tone and response. Specialized effects like Acoustic Simulator, Guitar Simulator, and others provide numerous tonal options, and there’s even a looper to enhance practice sessions and stage performances.

Portable tone partner

The GT-1 was designed for musicians on the move. It’s lightweight and compact and still delivers the rugged durability. AC or battery power provides flexibility for any performing situation, and up to seven hours of battery life is available for street performing and other mobile gigs.

Easy Patch Selection and Sound Creation

The Easy Select function allow the users to choose patches by genre, distortion, or effect type, while Easy Edit allows them to tweak drive, modulation, and echo tones. Dedicated panel buttons provide quick on/off switches for effect groups, and also unlock deep-dive parameters for microscopic fine-tuning.

BOSS Tone Central and BOSS Tone Studio

At BOSS Tone Central, the user will find tons of free patch collections for playing all types of music with the GT-1. Created by pro guitarists, these patches are dialed-in and ready to use, and make great starting points for advanced players who like to create their own custom sounds. The free BOSS Tone Studio software provides a full-featured editor/librarian for the GT-1, as well as integrated access to all the patch collections at BOSS Tone Central.

Maximum Control in a Small Space

The GT-1’s three footswitches are smartly designed to provide patch selection, tuner access, looper control, and more in a minimal footprint. The dedicated CTL1 switch is freely assignable to functions like tap tempo, effects on/off, and numerous others, while the expression pedal and toe switch are assignable to volume, and various effects parameters. If the users crave for more control then there’s a jack for connecting up to two external footswitches or an expression pedal. And in addition to providing access to BOSS Tone Central and BOSS Tone Studio, the GT-1’s USB jack lets the user to record and re-amp tones with their favorite DAW.

dBTechnologies VIO is a fully powered line array and sub series intended for large sound reinforcement applications.

A unique design and advanced DSP programming come together to deliver imposing sound pressure levels, a superior control of dispersion and a detailed audio performance.

With the combination of freshly designed cabinets, top-quality components, the latest amplification technology and DSP functionality, dB’s VIO series is ideal for those looking for a reliable and professional line array system.

Configuration

The new VIO series consists of the VIO L210 speaker with two 10-inch woofers and a 1.4-inch HF driver, As a result of many years’ experience, VIO L210 reaches the next level among dBtechnologies’ speaker range aimed at larger sound reinforcement applications. A unique internal acoustic design and advanced sound processing merge to deliver superior performances in terms of sound pressure, coverage coherence, intelligibility and sound definition.

VIO S318 subwoofer has powerful triple 18” woofer system. Both models are easy to install and configure and are ideal for small to medium-sized stages; and they deliver a balanced sound.

Setup

The L210s can be connected together easily using the integrated 3-point rigging system. The DRK 210 Flybar can then be fixed to the top for mounting on a truss so that the speaker set can be adjusted to superior performance. Another option would be to mount the speakers on top of the S318 subwoofer with the Flybar in between.

Efficient amplification

The VIO L210 has a maximum sound pressure level of 135 dB and is fitted with an efficient class D amplifier that delivers 900 watts RMS. It’s no problem to power up to ten L210s on one 230 V/16 A group or to optimize the sound dispersion. The internal DSP processor can be accurately controlled via RDNet (with standard network cables). That goes for the VIO S318 subwoofer too.

Transport

Apart from the Flybar, there are other accessories available for the VIO line array system to make setups as easy as possible. There are dollies available for both models, the DT VIOL210 and DO VIOS318 respectively. dB Technologies also offers a set of wheels (the SWK-18) as an alternative to the subwoofer dolly.
