ADJ fixture introduces two new versions of Ikon

One of the most popular new ADJ fixtures in 2016 has been the the Ikon Profile. ADJ recently introduced two new versions of this flexible fixture – the Ikon Profile Pearl and Ikon Profile WW – expanding the Ikon’s usefulness even further.

The Ikon Profile Pearl offers the exact same 32W bright white light source as the original Ikon Profile, as well as the same useful feature set, but with a distinctive white powder-coated casing in place of the regular black version. Ideal for wedding parties and church sanctuaries where a white unit is more in keeping with the rest of the décor, the Ikon Profile Pearl is a striking fixture both in terms of its casing and its output.

Utilizing the same black casing as the original version, and again offering all the same features, the new Ikon Profile WW offers a 32W warm white (3200K) light source that products an output closer to that of a traditional filament lamp. Coupled with the Ikon Profile’s crisp and clear optics the WW version offers vivid GOBO projections with a rich warm tone.

All Ikon Profile models offer a variety of useful features for shaping the light output. The beam angle can be altered between 15 and 40-degrees allowing for varied projection size. Framing shutters are also included to allow the light beam to be reduced on one or more sides so that light is projected only onto the exact area it is required. Finally, a frame is also included to allow gels to be applied to colour the GOBO projection.

With the compact dimensions of 17.75” x 6” x 5” (448 x 150 x 127mm) weighting – 6lbs (2.7kg) – each of the Ikon Profile models are easy to store and transport. They all also sport the same useful dual hanging bracket that can be used to attach the fixture to a T-bar or lighting truss and also as a standalone floor mount. Due to their design – as lighting effects that are incredibly compact but extremely powerful – you can conveniently take Ikon Profiles on the road with you, or install them inside venues with limited space. But, at the same time, the Ikon Profiles’ power and flexibility also make them perfect projectors for houses of worship, nightclubs, bars, stage productions and even retail outlets. For bigger events, the fixtures are highly effective used in multiples, each Ikon Profile offers both electrical input and output sockets that allow the power supply for up to 16 units to be daisy-chained at 120V (27 @ 230V), for a widespread lightshow that really packs a punch.

The Ikon Profile GOBO slot allows easy replacement and all models can also be used as spotlights, without a GOBO, for illuminating stages or venue features. The GOBO size is 26.8mm, with a viewable size of 24mm, and both metal and glass GOBOs can be accommodated. A starter set of one glass and four metal GOBOs is supplied as standard and custom-made GOBOs can also be used.

As with all ADJ fixtures, Ikon Profile units can be controlled in a variety of ways depending on your particular requirements for a specific venue or event. DMX, via three channels, allows dimming and strobing control as well as remote selection between five different Dimming Curves (Standard, Stage, TV, Architectural and Theatre).
