GLP Appoints New Sales Director Brian Dowd

Brian Dowd has joined GLP US in a new position as Sales Director for the company. From an early start, building his first lighting rig at age 15, Brian has enjoyed a career encompassing positions as electrician, rigger, designer and production manager. Through a subsequent illustrious career within the sales and marketing side of the industry, most recently as Sales Director for another lighting firm, Brian brings an extensive combination of skill and knowledge to this new position.

GLP US president Mark Ravenhill said, “It is fantastic to have Brian join us at GLP. Having known him for many years, his knowledge of the industry and his ability to consistently grow markets will be a great asset to the company as we move forward.”

Brian added “I was attracted to GLP because they do not follow the pack. They are unique in that they follow their own creative path. The family like connection between the GLP team was a huge thing for me. I can’t overstate the positive vibe that the team has.”

With 40 years of experience in the industry, Brian will be well equipped to move into the new position smoothly. “My role at GLP in the America’s is to create growth in the marketplace. Product innovation combined with world class support and the best team you could ask for, will fuel that growth. There are some very exciting opportunities out there, and I am looking forward to them all.”
