For decades, amplifiers from Studiomaster Professional have been known for their reliability and amazing sonic performance. To continue this legacy, the homegrown professional audio brand has launched the DH 72, a premium digital hybrid stereo power amplifier designed to deliver high efficiency, definition, dependability, and incredible sonic punch.
At the core of the amplifier's topology is the innovative “Tracking Class D” (TD) circuit design, which leverages the best aspects of two proven amplifier technologies: Class AB and Class D. This combination effectively delivers the digital efficiency of Class D amplification with the transformer-driven sonic punch of Class AB amplification. Essentially, you get the best of both worlds in one seamless package optimized for intense power and punch. Equipped with these technologies, the DH 72 is rated to deliver a True RMS power rating of 2 x 2850W @ 4Ω and 2 x 1800W @ 8Ω.
On the rear panel, the amplifier features an array of dip switches that let you adjust the sensitivity range between 26dB and 47dB in +3dB increments. This allows you to accommodate and connect a versatile range of input devices and loudspeaker types. The DH 72 is designed to operate in three switchable modes: stereo, parallel, and bridge.
The integration of high-quality, low-noise components throughout the circuitry delivers low THD and a high damping factor for excellent sound quality and tonality. The amplifier’s built-in limiter circuit and protection devices such as temperature, VHF, DC, short circuit, soft-start, and overload protection, ensure utmost safety and operational reliability.
The DH 72 features audio-grade balanced XLR input connections and high-performance Speakon and binding post outputs for loudspeaker connections. The front panel includes large rotary volume knobs and a 3-colour LED bargraph to indicate power ON, signal (5 segments), limit, and protect status.
Keeping in mind the variable power supply conditions across India, the amplifier is capable of operating on a wide mains voltage range between 150-240V AC. Engineered for best-in-class performance, the DH 72 digital hybrid power amplifier is ideal for a wide variety of live, touring, DJ, PA, and installation applications.
