AlphaTheta Introduces DJM V5: A Compact 3 Channel Mixer with Refined Sound Crafting and Wireless Monitoring

Capturing the essence of precision mixing, the DJM‑V5 delivers compact control, advanced sound‑shaping tools, and ultra‑low‑latency wireless monitoring for today’s performance‑driven DJ workflows

Published on 22nd January, 2026

AlphaTheta has announced the DJM‑V5, a next‑generation 3‑channel DJ mixer designed to offer refined sound control and flexible monitoring options within a compact form factor. Drawing on the design philosophy of the DJM‑V10 – a 6‑channel professional mixer widely used in festival and club environments – the DJM‑V5 condenses the core functionality of its larger counterpart into a smaller footprint while retaining an extensive range of creative tools. The unit incorporates a 4‑band EQ, compressor, filter, Send FX and long‑throw faders, all arranged in a streamlined layout suited to booths where space is limited. A notable addition is the built‑in SonicLink transmitter, enabling low‑latency wireless headphone monitoring when paired with compatible models, such as the HDJ‑F10. This feature allows users to operate without reliance on a wired signal, offering greater freedom of movement during performance.

Key Features:

Compact 3‑Channel Design with Professional Control

The DJM‑V5 adopts the workflow and tactile characteristics of the DJM‑V10 but in a footprint approximately 30% smaller. The mixer includes the 4‑band EQ, compressor, filter, and Send FX architecture seen on its predecessor. It also incorporates the 60‑mm long‑throw channel faders from the DJM‑V10‑LF. A newly implemented Soft Mix Curve mode introduces subtle high‑frequency attenuation when a fader is lowered, enabling smoother, more natural transitions for detailed, expressive blending.

High‑Resolution, Warm Sound Quality

Inheriting the sonic approach of the DJM‑V10, the DJM‑V5 uses 96 kHz / 64‑bit mixing DSP, alongside 32‑bit ESS Technology A/D and D/A converters in both the input and master output sections. All audio components have been tuned through repeated listening tests conducted in real‑world environments, including club systems. The result is a balanced output designed to maintain clarity, spatial detail, and dynamic nuance, even when multiple sources are layered.

Six Send FX for Spatial Expression

Each channel features a send knob for applying one of six effects:
Short Delay, Reverb, Shimmer, Tape Echo, PingPong, Echo‑Verb.

  • Tape Echo, PingPong, Echo‑Verb: Time‑parameter control includes tactile clicks aligned to BPM subdivisions (from 1/16 note to 1 beat), enabling precise rhythmic application.
  • Short Delay, Reverb, Shimmer: Smooth, click‑free adjustment allows fluid micro‑control.

Three Filter Types Including Newly Introduced Cross‑Pass

Each channel includes a filter knob offering Low‑Pass, High‑Pass, and the new Cross‑Pass mode.
Cross‑Pass retains low frequencies while gently filtering mids and highs, enabling users to add movement to vocals or melodic elements without significantly altering low‑end energy.

Wireless Monitoring with SonicLink

The DJM‑V5 is the first AlphaTheta mixer equipped with an integrated SonicLink transmitter, enabling ultra‑low‑latency wireless headphone monitoring.
Pairing with the HDJ‑F10 is achieved via a button on the mixer. For future compatible headphone models, pairing will be possible by touching a designated area on the DJM‑V5’s front panel.

When connected to compatible players such as the CDJ‑3000X or CDJ‑3000, as well as rekordbox, PRO DJ LINK enables FX timing synchronised with BPM data.
Link Cue allows previewing tracks without loading them, and a dedicated volume knob adjusts cue preview levels.
Users may also load personal mixer settings from a USB device or via rekordbox.
